Removing Third and Overload Leaf From OME Dakars?

Anyone done this? Specifically, the third from the top leaf and the top overload leaf.
I'm hoping this will give me about 1-1/2", without affecting spring/load rate too badly.
I'm thinking, even with those two leafs removed, spring/load rate has to be 'better' than the TSB springs and non-TSB springs.

Probably going to need:
-shorter center pins
-longer than stock u-bolts; OME u-bolts will probably be too long...
-?

Thoughts?

I had a complete kit; I never installed it and sold it.
I received 1 OME Dakar leaf pack as a cosmetic replacement direct from ARB; they didn't want the old one back.
Toytec will let me buy one leaf pack.
So basically, the attraction is new leafs for about $250 shipped.
Otherwise, I think I'd get the Wheeler HD and call it a day.

I would just go with the Wheelers HD instead of removing the 3rd and overload from a set of Dakars if it were me
