Thumbs up Enjoying Sway A Way Racerunners

Really noticing improved ride with my Sway A Way Racerunners after a one week break in period. Truck rides like a well tuned sports car. I failed to read the directions, mixed up the lower front shock bushings(put the longer of the two in back) had to remove the stabilizer bar. I am still debating wether I want to break it all down to flip the bushings and put the stabilizer bar back in. Will I get more articulation off road with out it? The Sway A Way kit was nice and complete(had I read the instructions). Waiting to address rear leafs to get a more plush feel out back. I am very satisfied with coil overs and shocks.

I have the SAW 2.0's as well. How much lift do you have up front?

I had a huge amount of preload just to get 2.5" of lift with a bumper and ifs skid



Just rebuilt them and upgraded to new eibach coils 14" x 650lbs and have the same amount of lift but way less preload, ride super nice!

got about 2" lift with stock upper control arms, need more caster to go higher, Light Racing control arms next for the front, leafs or add a leaf next out back.

I have rebuilt them twice now, bought them used unknown mileage and one started leaking after 20,000kms. Since then I put 60,000kms on them until I rebuilt them again last week.

We have lots of gravel/sand/salt and grime on the roads so they have a pretty hard life, you should get more miles down south on yours. I would get the nitrogen checked/charged regularly (once a year?) as it looses pressure over time.

If you end up putting steel bumper/skids on down the road I would recommend the 14" springs, they were fairly cheap from dsm and handle the extra weight well.

I am looking to gain 1.5 -2" of lift and soften the ride out back. I tow a trailer with dirt bikes and gear, guessing it is 2500 lbs. with 500 lb tounge weight. Saving for Light Racing UCA's so that I continue to go up in the front(@ 2" now). O.K. with slight rake or level when done.

these are sweet rear shocks, not using them properly jarring off initial hit with OEM leaf springs.

Well it is hard to have both soft ride and load capacity. But, yes the HD 3 leaf with the Overload removed. Should be about 1.5" of lift.

Yeah I had them on my 1st. gen and just loved them ! They where the old style where the rod came out of the top. I did get a squeak shortly after installing them. Did any of you guys get any squeaking out of yours? Never the less. I did love them a lot.

Oh yeah I can see how that would make a difference. Mine where squeaking from the seal around shock shaft. Because the shaft was on top I put some grease around the shaft and it was gone. Just wondering if the new style have the same problem. Thanks for your reply.
