OME 882 vs. 883

I'm running OME 882s + 10mm top plate spacer with an Elite front bumper and starting to show some rake. I'm looking to add a BudBuilt skid and a Warn winch (~130 lbs) but don't want the nose dipping down anymore.

Even though 883s are 20mm shorter would the 590lb spring rate bring the nose back to level?

Are there other options I should be considering?

 

883's won't get you level again. You're best route to level it out again is some weight over the back end, and reducing weight as much as you can up front. Might not be able to cut much weight from the skids, but you can probably reduce the weight of the winch. Run a synthetic line and a nylon fairlead and you can keep a winch setup close to 50lbs.

 

Poopers. Looks like I'm researching winches then. Was going to get one of the new Warn Zeons with synthetic. I'll have to poke around to see what might be a lighter replacement.

 

Not sure if you want Eibachs but they are 620lbs springs. Those might suit you better.

 

Do you know the spring height?

 

Hmmm, the Warn M8000-S comes in at 55 lbs. Hmmmm.
