After sleeping on it, I'm kind of leaning toward wheels now instead of spacers. I figure if I'm going to spend $200 on spacers, may as well spend an extra few hundred and get set up proper for the long haul.

Anyone know of other wheels that would fit the bill with the right size and offset? I'd like something with a simple, clean design, along the lines of the Konig Countersteer Offroad. Too bad those have 0 offset. Thanks!

Most people run wheels with a 4.5" backspacing or -12mm offset and that gets the wheel out enough where you only need minimum trimming as long as you dont go bigger then 33" tires.

4.5 backspacing does not equal -12 mm offset... It's dependent on the rim width. Konig Countersteers for example are 16x8", so they are 4.5" backspacing at 0 mm offset.

The FJ wheels linked in my previous post fit the bill. You should double-check how much rubbing you currently have with the upper control arm. Make sure spacing out the tire 0.67" would be enough to clear it.

Oh okay makes sense cause I have a -12mm offset but why wheels are 18x9's.

I'm not sure how to quantify the amount of rubbing I have with the UCA, but it only seems to happen when I turn the wheel pretty far at slow speeds, like in parking situations. However, with the wheel perfectly straight, the gap between the UCA and the widest part of the tire is really small, like I can barely fit a finger in there. Makes me worry that an additional 0.67" might not be enough to completely clear it.

Well if you are going to go with a spacer route I'd just go with the 1.25" spidertraxx cause thats what mostly everyone runs on here.
