Lift question

I'm not mechanically inclined and I probably wouldn't be able to install a lift kit on my own. Any suggestions on where to get it installed and how long it would take. Should I order the kit online and take it to the body shop so they just charge labor? Any help, thanks.

 

Depands on the kit. Is it a spacer lift or a full 6" suspension lift?

 

spacers, is that better than messing with the original suspension? is the ride any different?

 

If you go with spacers, the ride will be stiffer. It will not be as good for offroading, but will let you put on bigger tires. I have a 3" spacer lift and it works fine for me. I just wanted the truck to be higher. I only do light offroading.

And you probably would not want a body shop doing your lift. A tire/suspension shop would do a better job.

 

If you go with 3" coils or spacers and live near me I'll help you install it.

That weekend sounds good for me 22-23, thats 3 weekends from now something could come up. I'll send a pm if any thing does, I'll send you a pm of my address so you can Mapquest it and get directions, its pretty easy to find I am about 2 miles off of I-85 in Davidson County.

 

I have all tools needed, It took me about 4 hours to do mine front and rear so it should take a couple of hours to do the front. I feel I owe you one over the whole sliders deal of not selling them.
