Leveled with 5100s. Nose high 1in block to level?

Front is 5100s set at 1.75 with toytec 1/4 spacer on drivers side. Rear is stock 4 leaf (including helper) with 5100 shocks. It's a little nose high. Was thinking about the toytec 1 inch block for rear. This

i did readylift 1" blocks in the back, have had absolutely zero issues, no vibrations, nothing, feels just like stock.

Personally I would sooner use an aal than insert a block. Why not improve your carrying capacity if you are going to bother working on the rear suspension?

I thought about the AAL but always assumed they would make the ride harsh compares to just a 1in block. Glad to hear the good experience with the blocks. Keep the good replies comin I appreciate it!

Icon or Wheeler's 3 leaf pack. Better than both options listed above without replacing the whole pack which if you plan on doing some hauling on a regular basis then scrap all suggestions and get new leaf packs.

I do like the wheelers progressive 3 leaf pack but was afraid it would give too much lift (1.5-2 inch). Still want to be pretty level instead of nose down. Read great reviews on the progressive packs

Got the 1 in blocks installed today. Very easy to do and the stance is perfect! But now have a slight vibration. Any advice to get rid of it? Only thing I can think of is get some washers and start messing around with spacing down the carrier bearing for the rear driveshaft? Any advice is appreciated!

Any ideas? Should I try the washers to space down the carrier bearing? Or is it the piñon angle?

so all you have is 5100's on stock coils set at 1.75" and 1" blocks in the back and you're getting vibration issues?
that is my exact set-up and i have had no vibrations what so ever, ride is perfect.
im not a mechanic but make sure all your bolts are tight and that the blocks are sitting on the perch properly? that's all i have, sorry.

I know they are on square and pins are lined up. Will double check the bolts tomorrow. The vibration is very slight but def there

did you aver get rid of the vibes...I just installed 5100s up front at 1.75 and 3 leaf 1.5" progressive in the rear last weekend and I have minor vibration on acceleration..is that when yours vibed? lmk what your vibe was like and if/how you fixed it...thanks

I actually just ordered icon 1.5 progressive AAL. Rear end feels a little sloppy with the block. Hoping to reduce some axle movement with the stiffer AALs. Going to put in 3 degree axle shims at the same time as AAL install. My piñon angle right now is 3.7 degrees and should be 0-3 degrees. After the piñon is within specs ill deal with the carrier bearing. If that doesn't work ill do a double cardan Tom woods one piece drive shaft. Even with the one piece drive shaft the piñon angle still needs to be within the 0-3 degree specs so the axle shim is a must for me. Get yourself a digital angle finder and take some measurements

3 deg rear axle shims at the same time as your aal install might do the trick.. wait, now that i actually read things you are doing that with your install already... well, my post is certainly not helpful at this point................... hope your issues are resolved with the new leaf and shim!

i wonder if there is a difference between the long box and short box? because i have had zero issues with my 1" blocks and 5100's at 1.75". rides just like it did off the lot, if not better.

Mine rides incredible. But vibrates after putting in the 1in block. Ride and handling improved a ton with the 5100s. Not sure if there is a difference between short/long box. Maybe long box gets slightly less lift and your piñon angle stayed in spec. They probably have a slightly longer drive shaft the DCSBs

I think I would try a carrier bearing drop and see what happens. I think I would use one of the commercially available ones instead of washers though. I would think if the bearing gets misaligned then it would cause more wear on the bearing.

post up how the aal works, i have debated doing it but i have no issues as of now, i'd hate to put in the aal's and then end up with some kind of vibration issues.

Will do. Theoretically by stiffening up the pack with less axle rocking back/forth (although minimal in the first place). Should reduce the vibs some. Mostly with take off, braking, and kick down vibes. But it'll also be .5 inch higher making my piñon angle worse then it already is ( which is out of spec ). So the 3 degree shim and less axle movement should be a good recipe to be vib free. Like i said before i have the OME carrier bearing drop kit. So after i get the pinon angle correct ill move to the carrier bearing. If that fails ill get thr one piece. But the Pinon angle needs to be right for the one piece anyway so the shim is necessary either way on my truck. I've read nothing but great reviews for the icon 3 leaf progressive AAL. And after free shipping its the same cost as wheelers 3 leaf progressive with $49 shipping
