To Re-Gear or not?

Hello all,

After putting it off for a while I have finally decided to spend the money on lifting my truck. I'm going to go with a 6" with either 33s or 35s. I know most people say to re gear when going with 35s even though some people have gone without it and haven't had problems. But I'm wondering if I really need to regear since my truck is supercharged. Is not regearing really going to hurt anything? What are the cons to not regearing?

On my last Taco I went with the supercharger instead of gears and 33's. This time around I decided to go with the gears first. Let me just say: that I will never go for engine mods first over re-gearing.

The best way to describe it is like driving a v8 Camaro vs a turbo Civic. Even though the supercharger creates power as soon as you step on the gas it still doesn't have the low end torque compared to new gears.

Plus gears are cheaper and less complicated.
