3" Lift with 33's?

So earlier today I was wanting to get myself a nice 6" suspension lift on my DCSB tacoma but after doing a lot of research I changed my mind and would rather get some really nice coil overs with UCA nice rear shocks and leaf pack maybe some deavers or all pro. My question is would I be able to fit 33's with that set up without rubbing?

 

yes, just make sure you get enough offset on the wheels.

 

okay awesome! Would you recommend some spindles with that set-up or do you think that's just fine if I go with a camburg kit as far as off roading it goes?

 

You should be able to fit 33's. REMEMBER Spindle lifts are only for 2wd, idk if you are 4x4 or not. Smart choice about going with coilovers and UCA's.

 

yea I saw this tacoma at a dealership with a 6" lift, fell in love with the look didn't realize that the 6" db is only good for the look and then read some stuff about how amazing the coil over uca set up is for offroading. I have a 2wd would you recommend spindles like the TC ones or should the coil overs and UCA be enough?

 

I’m not 100% sure but i think some one makes a 4” llift spindles. maybe it’s 4.5”


I also think that most the hate for 6” lift comes from 4wd guys, because you actually lose ground clearance with the drop bracket. I like the looks of the 6”, but i want to really get into off roading(if i could get the cash to do so) and the 3” is better for 4wd guys wanting to off road a lot/ really hard. But since you are 2wd you don’t have that.


If i was you and had a 2wd, I’d get a 6” and 35”s. and sounds like thats what you really like the looks of, so why not do it exactly like you want?

 

I thought the 2wd had drop brackets does it not with a 6" lift?
and also because I read through this whole thread and they bagged on the 6" lifts throughout the whole thing said the coil overs with UCA are the better way to go as far as offroad performance is concerned.

 

Stick with just coil overs and UCAs.

 

could you elaborate a little more on why that set-up is better because I have no idea why it's better other than that's what everyone is saying. btw just in case nobody knows I have a 2wd...

 

Problem Solved, Toytech has this 6" lift for 2wd, its has spindles and toytech coil-overs.

(i would get the optional UCA's with it.
Then fit some 35" tires and 18" rims under this and it will be perfect. Just my 2 cents

 

Your not gaining anything really with spindles..some front end clearance I suppose.

Just UCAs and a nice CO will ride better.

But if your not into offroading or having looked t long travel yet(if you do you will want it haha) then go for the spindles.

 

no don’t think so! the drop bracket drops/lower the front diff to keep the right angles on the drive shafts.

also coil overs are kinda the way to go. but agin i don’t know anything about spindles.

 

I'm definitely into offroading but I'd rather not drop a bunch of cash on a LT kit. BTW how does this kit look??

Has coilovers for about 10" of travel deaver leafs in the back with bilstein 5100 shocks and UCA specifically says no DB and gives 4 to 6 inches of lift what do you guys think?

I have a 2.7 litre 4 cylinder 2wd 2012 toyota tacoma I want to put it on a lift with 33 in tires but I only see lift kits for the prerunner 2wd wich isn't my truck was wondering if the lift would work on mine even though it isn't a prerunner

There are tons if of 4wd lifts. Your not looking in the right places..
