Hi guys, I'm trying to plan my lift and shoes out, even though I won't have the money for awhile :/ . Is it possible to combine a drop bracket and the maxtrac spindle lift? I want to lift high but keep factory susp geometry! Yes, it will be a mall crawler... mostly.. ;) searched and haven't found anyone else with this combo. Thanks for the help!!

I don't think it'll work and you would need some super low gears to pull 35s or bigger tires with the 2.7 auto. Maybe someone else who knows more about lifts will chime in

No the drop bracket lifts already come with a very built lift spindle.

yeah I know about the gearing situation :( but I'm just wondering if this is a possible lift combination

I think you can only get lift from the spindle on 2wd? However; you should get taller spindles that match your DB lift. eX: if you get a 6" DB kit, you will need to get 6" longer beefier spindles or else your UCA would be at full droop trying to reach the spindle. these are the spindles that I have on my DB lift.
EDIT: You cant really tell how much bigger they are compared to the stock ones, but its a pretty huge difference!

Ive got bilstein 5100s and 4 inch lift spindles on mine for about 6 inches or so. It kinda suck driving with 2.7 and 35s especially on the interstate. But i rarely get on the interstate and have a 5 speed

Thanks guys for the info! So yeah I guess I can't combine them. I may go drop bracket or maybe the spindles with bilsteins set at 1.75. For 6 inch lift. Thanks for the help

Old thread I know but I was wondering if you can get some sort of extension to use lift spindles with say a 4" drop bracket. So it would have to be a 4" extension. This setup would yield 8" of lift. I've seen something similar on a first gen 4x4 and the drop bracket kit came with this type of extension that screwed in to the top of the factory spindle rather that coming with new longer ones.

Combining multiple lifts is never good. never good. never good.

That's usually how you end up with a totaled truck because they weren't designed to be used together and you messed the geometry up and something failed and now your front end is on the ground and shooting sparks everywhere and you're doing 60+ on the highway. Just be happy with a 6" DB lift and blocks.
