How do I adjust the coilovers

    I have Icon extended coils and about to put it on. How do I get them set to 2.5" before I get them out on my truck?

    You don't, you'll need to put them on and then adjust. Factors such as aftermarket bumpers etc prevent these from being something you could set beforehand. Everyone's rig is different. That said they should have come from Icon set for about 2 inches I think.....

    I was told not to adjust it while it's on the truck due to twisting it against tie rod?

    I'll need to get another alignment too right?

    I can only speak to mine but I adjust them all the time on my 2004. I "may" be doing it wrong but I have had no problems yet.... I got an initial alignment after installing and setting height, since then I have not and have tweaked it a bit after a bumper install, winch etc.

    Adjust them on the truck . Nothing is going to happen to your tierods .
    Pretty sure they come set at 2.5 "

    Will be a touch easier if you droop out your suspension AND then try to adjust...otherwise you're adjusting against the weight of the truck lol ;D

    So...jack up the front of your truck until the wheels are pretty much off the ground

    Ah OK. Thanks. Is there markings on it to make each side even or do I just measure fender to hub and turn each side so it's same length?

    No marking other than thread count, assuming they both come set to the same spot then crank them down the same amount on each side then measure for difference fender to hub.

    Its gonna be different on each side. Remember, your battery, fuel tank AND YOU are on the drivers side...so thats alot of weight...I would crank them up so your hub/fender measurements are level, then give the driver side another half turn or so

    Use the allen head set screw as your mark when cranking, every time you see it it has been one full revolution etc. Also make sure and loosen before cranking them down and then re-tighten that allen.
