    Previous owner said they were to help with heavy weight in the rear, I guess similar to the tsb?

    Its up to you, they just add a little weight capacity to the leafs; if they're not giving you a problem there's no real reason you should take them off other than if you want to swap for a lift AAL or. a new lead pack
