I know three people runnin this same kit without a single complaint I highly recommend rough country they are priced very well there's no one out there offering anything close in this price range the quality you get for money they are second to none I have had skyjacker and superlift in the past and rough country is up there with them. If you want to get your truck up with a great ride and a lil off roading go with rough country lifetime warranty. 850 bucks no one can touch that

Having the lift installed today. Picking it up tonight around 5. I'll post pictures and let y'all know how I like it. Can't wait!! I've got a rough country lift on my jeep TJ and I'm very pleased with it, another reason I went with the rough country lift.

They might be second to none for drop bracket lifts in that price range (never had a DB lift so I can't debate that), but for that kind of money you can get a better lift. Just sayin...

You can always enhance your db lift with a new leaf pack and better shocks/coilovers.

Rebel,Ii was wondering about the drop brackets themselves. Do they actually measure 6", hole to hole? I don"t know why, but whenever i look at the Rough Country compared to a Fabtech or Procomp the drop brackets actually look shorter in the Rough Country. I know they also make a 4" lift and i'm wondering if they don't just use all the same parts and just different size strut spacers.

Definitely go radflo 6" coilovers and don't get the strut spacers. Those spacers will give you a horrible ride and aren't totally safe

No they don't. The spacers don't preload the springs like normal spacer lifts. All the spacers do is make up the difference you are dropping the front end with the drop brackets. The aftermarket coilovers will give you a nicer ride than the stock shocks though.

Plus with actual shocks, you'll get more travel. I find it pointless to get 6" of lift and keep stock travel.

I had a 4" Rough Country lift on my Jeep for 2 years. COMPLETE JUNK! I would not recommend anything from RC to anyone. The springs are super cheap and sagged probably 2-2.5" over 2 years. And if you want to know why they're called ROUGH Country, just try some of their shocks.

After 2 years of driving on that crap, I ripped all of it off and installed OME shocks and springs. The OME stuff was more than twice as expensive, but easily 10x the quality. Installing 2.5 OME springs has actually raised my Jeep higher than my 4" Rough Country springs after 2 years.

Check out all of the Rough Country threads on jeepforum and you will read many reviews similar to mine.

    Ding ding ding ding!!

That's why you use the brackets and get your own shocks and shit.

My buddy with the 6" on his FJ has no issues because he runs it with Radflo's

Also forgive me if I sound stupid, but why does it only come with new rear shocks? The 4 inch rough country on my old pickup had new front shocks...

    Just get the brackets!

Rough country suspension pieces suck! The shocks and springs will sag quick

On the 4" and 6" you don't get new front shocks because you use your stock ones and they give you the spacer that that mounts to the top make up the difference due to the drop bracket. Yes you can get new shocks and on my 4" lift I went with bilstein 5100's front and rear, extended brake lines and also replaced my leaf pack. If you want to spend a lil more you can always get the icons but for average driving and minimal offroading the 5100's are a good choice. Plus with the 5100's if you want to get a lil extra height you can. I have mine set at .85 so my lift is 5in front and 4" rear which is perfect imo with 33's.

I see that it recommends 17 inch wheels but are they an absolute must?
