20% tint on the front windows. 8-15-13 Installed Icons front and rear with Dakars. 2012 4Runner wheels with 275/70/17 BFG T/A KO2's. Weather Tech mats front and back. Leer shell with Leer Locker and roof racks.
    Finally Time!!

After much research here and a burning desire to mod my Taco I have finally decided on the Icon Stage 1 with Dakars. For tires I'm installing 275/70/17 Hankook Dyna Pro ATm's over 2012 stock 4Runner wheels or my TRD Sport wheels not sure what will look best. I have seen one Taco here with the 4Runner wheels and I think it looks good. I do tow a bit so the Dakars should be helpful and I will be installing a Leer shell very soon. That being said will I have much trimming to do? Will I experience much power loss? Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on this on this set up?

Felling like a kid at Christmas.

the rear Ions have to be built to work with the travel (is it 3.5"?) of the Dakars, right? for some reason i thought the rear shocks that can handle Dakars had to be the resis. if this is the case you would have to go stage II. please confirm/deny this.

    what UCA's?

i am thinking i'll do stage I with some kind of aal. i have not 86'd going with the same setup as OP....still researching.

As far as trimming goes, I'd say yes. It will most likely rub on the inner fender liner near the fog lights and in the back by the mudflap (which might need to come off). This will probably not be enough if you do lots of off-roading though.

I was told I could go with Stage 1 no res. but I will double check. Icon UCA's will be on stand by.

Resi makes no difference. The standard Icon rear shocks are already longer than stock and will work well with the Dakars. You could go with an even longer shock if you wanted to, but you would need to make the bumpstops taller or re-do the shock mounts.

I've run *same diameter and width with the Dakars, no rubbing, no trimming, no problems. A little bit of trimming up front on the plastic in the fender well up front, but you should be all set after that if you're getting a good amount of lift up front..

Now the other decision. Which wheels to install current Sport wheels although they seem to be everywhere but look great or the 2012 4Runner wheels which will make it different...help.

Hard part is that I love the way OZ-T and Benson X's trucks look and that's what I'm going for too.

I like the 4Runner rims. I've told my wife numerous times that I'd buy her new rims and tires just to have her 4Runner rims haha.

Leaning that way. If so I have 2 sets of the Soprts wheels to unload and they are in great condition.

Ok going with the 4Runner wheels. Icons and Dakars are in at the shop just waiting on tires. And just received an email the Weathertech mats will be delivered tomorrow by Fed Ex.

    Getting pumped!!

We have a Icon rear shock that is designed to work with the Dakar pack, both reservoir and non reservoir.
Per ARB, they us a shorter shock to get around having to swap brake lines.. Basically using the shock as a limit:confused:.
We stock the correct length shocks, if you need any help just let me know.
