My trucks suspension was never replaced and when I jump up and down in the back it dont even budge. I had 2 transmissions and a 350 chevy engine in the back, it sagged but didnt bottom out. I did use the tsb for the engine tick, no more tick.

Ya know I was going through the same thing. I actually was authorized to get this done over 6 weeks ago on my 07. I declined after it was explained that the ride would be much stiffer. I like my ride a lot now.

He ordered the springs anyway and put the whole communication in my file and he said..."just call if you ever want it done..."

But, there was no offer of new shocks...only springs. Now that the 07's have been added, maybe new springs are in order. I am really nervous about losing the ride I have now though...a truck ride but still smooth.

Anyone with under 5,000 miles done this yet? I have about 3,500 miles on mine.

ok 2007 prerunner and 4x4 owners....the original tsb has been revised and now includes 05-07's. i went and had mine looked at today and they're calling me back w/ an appointment to get them installed when they get in. at $616 per spring, plus the front end adjustments and the realignment, its quite a steal to get done...and free!!!!! after its done, i'll post the height difference in the rear and also the ride difference

Jhodge: I would love to hear how much it raises the rear and how much it affects the ride, especially on the TRD version. I expect it to be a big difference on the non-TRD's but im not expecting much of a change on ours. Do you have a link to the TSB? i'd like to be able to print it out to take up to the dealer in case they give me any sh!t

    Okay, I LOVE MY DEALERSHIP.

I told them that there were some issues with hauling stuff over the weekend, and they said, "...lets check out if there is a TSB...". Next thing I know, they are ordering me a set of rear springs and a full set of bilsteins! :D

On top of that, they say that they have found the issue with the vibrations at ~ 68 MPH. On three other trucks in the area, they have replaced the front rotors under an unofficial TSB that Toyota is testing out. I will let you know how that goes next week when they replace the rotors. ;)

I don't think that is the issue, but at least they are admitting that there is a problem. That's a start.

I'd bring it up, but I would wait until I get my rotors replaced before mentioning the rotors. I really don't think that will fix it, but I am willing to try it.

I wish! While they are Bilsteins, they aren't the 5100s. Close but no cookie.

They're still the same suspension as the TRD. The TRD pkg doesnt come with 5100's. I wish they did, i could raise my truck witnout having to worry about a lift

Oh, HEY! That's cool. I thought the TRDs had 5100's! Cool. I will be the first person I know to have a 4 cylinder, 2nd generation, TRD Tacoma. ;)

Dropped mine off at the dealership yesterday evening and I told them the suspension felt spoungy. I also gave them the TSB that surf posted. I had a few minor rattles and squeaks that they fixed but they called me this afternoon and said the suspension parts wouldn't be here for a couple of days. I'm intrested to see if there is much of a differnce in the ride. Its not gonna bother me if it rides a little stiffer. Heck....it is a truck after all.:D

    Let me ask the question.
Is there a possibility that the 3-pack springs have been changed at some time to be stiffer and meet the load requirements?
I saw someone on TN forums imply he tested his suspension severley and they never bottomed? I think he was saying he had a 3-pack?
I have an 07 4x4 access cab and haven't tested it yet, but I got 3-pack.
