Looking to do a small lift 3". I would also like to add black rims and tires. Any shops or recommendations to use would be appreciated

I’m currently in the Raleigh NC area with a first generation Tacoma. I’m having an issue with the steering column slip joint and want to do the weld mod described in this post:

anyone have experience with this and could help me do it or recommend someone that could? I could for sure travel a distance outside of Raleigh if need be.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Thanks for the tag @SearArtist. Just as @Sandman614 offered I can help MIG or TIG, whatever you prefer the welds. I am in Apex. I don’t have any experience with this issue though so I wouldn’t be much help diagnosing anything. I could help with removal and then reassembly if needed, just need to sort timing.
