The Jeep guys with YJ's that have SUA all want to do a Spring over conversion. All the Tacoma guys have spring over but want to do a SUA. Why?

Pretty sure that confirms that a ubolt flip kit is kind of a waste of money then. If an entire spring pack can go under the axle, who cares if there's a small bracket hanging down on the stock springs.

I guess that would depend on what type of off roading you do and if you want clearance or wheel travel.

SUA can also reduce axle wrap as well.

The guys that do SUA are looking for UP travel. Most crawlers want DOWN travel.
U-bolt flip kit is great if you are SOA and are looking for an extra inch of clearance and not have to worry about tearing up the threads on your U-bolts.
It all depends on what you're trying to get our of your rig.
To do a SUA setup it's not just as simple as flipping the axle on the other side of the springs, otherwise you'd have a a slammed taco. You need a significantly longer spring pack, new front hangers, new longer shackles (typically 12") mounted above the frame, and glass fenders to allow the uptravel.

And as mr.jberry and I both do, you can easily crawl with an sua kit
