As my truck sits right now it looks like I have a toytech leveling kit with the 3'' spacer up front but I have no idea what was done to the rear. When I look at the rear I have 3 leafs with an overload leaf. What needs to be done to get at least 3'' of lift with coilovers up front and keep the truck level? I was looking at the Toytech ultimate kit but if all I have to do is get new coilovers that is what I will do.

    Here is the front

take the spacers off buy new shocks and coils and add a leaf out back call toytec or wheelers and they will talk you through everything and you'll get answers alot quicker than you will on here. i bought mine from toytec and they were extremely helpful

Your truck probably has a rear block making it level with the 3in spacer in the front. It will just be a 2-3in block of steel in between the leafs and the axle just look again you'll most likely see it. If you go with the Toytec ULK (much recommended) then you can just get an AAL which is like 100$ or complete new leaf packs which will run around 400$(Dakars). I recommend going with an all around lift to get a complete, level look on your truck.

Checked for a block but there isnt a block. I am saying it is 3'' because by some freak chance I ran into the previous owner in my town and had a discussion about it.

Alright you have no block in the back so it looks like the previous owner just put a leveling kit on the truck to level the front with the back/ (since the back sits higher stock) I would personally recommend either OME or Toytec ULK
I currently have the toytec on my 09 Tacoma and it rides great, my brother had an OME setup on his FJ Cruiser which has the same front setup as the Tacoma and he liked it a lot.

Edit: looking closer at your pics it looks like you have an AAL (unless your truck had 3 springs stock) but it looks like mine currently with an AAL.

Thanks for the reply. I dont know what it came with stock and dont remember what the previous owner said about the rear. I ran into him a walmart parking lot, he ran across the parking lot saying "Hey thats my truck". Turns out he had traded it in 3 days earlier for a camry.

Yea it looks like an AAL to me, its shorter, you can see more arch in it and your truck is level with a 3in spacer in the front. That setup will do you fine for a while but my front suspension started to make a popping noise when I had my steering wheel all the way to one side so I convinced my parents to help me out with a new Toytec lift and that fixed it up real nice.

mine is starting to make that noise and I just want to get rid of the spacers. It feels like I have no travel what so ever up front

I would recommend getting bilstein 5100 with eibach springs that fixed the popping noises and made the ride near 100000000000x better than the spacers.

I just put mine on last weekend. I think it rides better than it did from the factory. Liking it so far!

Sweet thanks. I got mine with the spacers already on but they make it feel like there is absolutely no travel in the front end.

The Toytec Ultimate kit has Bilstein 5100 shocks and a special adjustable coil that you can adjust with a spanner wrench while its mounted on your car. Its the upgraded version of what I have w/ just the regular eibach springs but essentially the same thing.
