I was looking at correcting the taco lean, but paying $23.00 for a 1/4" aluminum spacer sounds irrational to me, when I can go to home depot and find a piece of aluminum for couple of cents and just cut it. I don't have a blue print for the toytec spacer (unless one of you is kind enough to send me a traced outline on a text document) So I was thinking on just using grade 8 thick washers that I can stack up to give me 1/4". Anyone done this? or is there a downside to it with good scientific back up and not just out of loyalty for Toytec?

Sounds sketchy. Sounds like you have the means to DIY correctly. If no one is nice enough just trace the tophat and mark out where the bolt holes and center shock hole are. Bam, cut your own.

I wouldn't use just washers because that would isolate all the weight on a couple small spots instead of the whole top mount. This could eventually cause stress cracks on the mount and it would also allow sideload on the studs/bolts.

Yeah, I can do it once the top hat is out. I just wanted something already made by the time I install the 5100's and OME 885's.

you have a point. I see the logic to that.
