Leaf Spring TSB completed, now the springs have a grinding noise??

I had the TSB done about 2 months ago. While backing out of my garage they squeeke/grind like they are 50 years old. I only notice it at low speeds. Is anyone else experiencing the noise? I think it might even be coming from just one side.

 

Been out in the dirt/sand/water etc?? Dirty springs will make noise.

 

Nope....nothing but interstate driving. I even hosed them good when I washed it last week.

 

Did you have them retourqed after install. Check the leafs, see if they are coming into contact w/anything...

I had a squeak after installing my AAL to the TSB leafs. allingned them up, and retourqed the U-bolts. No issues since.

 

Do you know what they are supposed to be torqed too in lb-ft.?

 

I went with 90 ftlbs... Not sure if thats 100% correct, but it worked. I got the Gade 8 extended U-bolt from Toytech, and 90 ftlbs felt just about right...
