    Hello all
I know I am probably going to catch hell for asking this question cause im sure there are many threads that I cant find about it but here goes. My leafs on my truck are done, they rainbow with my topper on and they are flat with out it and no other weight in the bed. The rest of my suspension is also shot, I feel it if I run over an ant. I don't really want a lift but I know I have to have a little bit of one because I want stronger leafs that will probably raise the truck around 2in. If I must lift the front a little to account for the back than I will but not enough to replace my UCAs. So with that im assuming if I go any higher than 2in in the front im going to start having issues with the alignment. I would love to have OME for the extra load capacity but I am afraid I will need to replace my UCAs and OME is a little out of my price range. I don't believe in spacers, blocks or add a leaf kits. I have been looking at different options for a long time and my brain is fried. Please I beg you, no smart ass comments and if you are one of those people that have nothing better to do than down people on forums such as this than please just BS else were. I thank you for any help yall are willing to give.

there are literally 100's of threads regarding what you want/need to do....not trying to be a smart ass, but a little searching and reading will fill in the blanks...

to bring the rears back to life, AAL will improve the height and ride....get bilstein 5100's for the front, probably set them to .85 along with the AAL, as far as the rears go, either 5100 or 5125, depending on lift from the AAL....

    thank you.
I guess I don't understand what an add a leaf does. doesn't it still leave the old worn out leaf pack that are prone to cracking?

yes I know there are many threads about it, I guess its to much for me to process. ha. they are all talking about lifting, I just want more weight capacity, with minimal lift... if that is even possible.

Again thank you very much for your help. If you don't mind me asking, how do you like your set up and did it effect MPG enough to matter?

OMD chevy leaf mod. Doug (4wd) can help you customize a leaf pack to suit your needs with as much or little lift that you want. This mod will also increase load and towing capability. Check my sig for the link.

AAL is the cheap fix, to replace the leafs with custom made ones, be ready to open up your wallet a little bit..the rebuild with chevy leafs will definitely solve the sagging problem, ride will be a bit more stiff...

how high is your budget for fixing everything?

I know company made custom leaf packs are steep but the OMD Chevy leaf mod is not expensive. I did mine for $40.

not everyone is handy with clamps, disassembly and a redo on leaf springs, but, as you stated, if you do it yourself, it can be done on the cheap ....

Doug will also build/ship a set, I assume, for cheaper than a company does.

yeah ive seen these before, not sure if they will hold a constant 400 lbs in back and some times up to 600 or 700 lbs.

I am sadly coming to the realization that something like OME is going to be what I am going to end up with. I just really don't want to replace my UCAs. to much money.

Wheelers off-road offers a 4 leaf pack (not AAL but a whole new pack)that will not lift your truck. Also you could get 5100s all around and OME 880 coils and your truck would be at stock height with all new suspension.

Ive been reviewing these and talked to them personally, the HD's will hold and additional 250 lbs per side for an increase of 500 lbs over factory. $65 to ship so lokking at like $400 to your door.

Edit: I personally think these are a better spring and a better deal than the Wheelers/Alcans.
