3" Bilstein lift(887 coils with Bilstein adjustable 5100s set at 2.5"), AAL in rear with Bilstein 5100s
Hey guys this is my first post to the forum and have had this question on my mind for a while. I just recently bought an 07 Tacoma extended cab with the TRD off road package. I want to put a 3 inch Rough Country lift with either 28s on 16s or 31s on 17s. I'm pretty sure the rear axle has 4.10s, but I am not sure if that's correct and I do not to put too much stress on the axle with that big of tires because I do not want to rear gear the axles. So I was wondering if any of you guys have any pictures or suggestions. Thanks.

    28s? Stock tires are 30.5s, I'd go with 285s with 3 inches.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
yeah 28" tires are rather small. Maybe 28's would come stock on a 5 lug but pre runners and 4 wheel drive tacomas typically come stock with 31" tires (265/70/16, actually 30.5"). If your getting a 3" lift then 31" tires look a tad small. If you dont want to go to big then get 265/75/16 (31.5") and they will fill out the wheel well a little better.

After 3" lift, most people go with 285/75/16 or 33" tires. You can get a lighter load range so that the tires arent so heavy and wont affect your gas mileage or power. I have 33's on 4.10 gears and cant feel to much of a difference, but my gas mileage did drop about 1.5 gallons after getting load range C KM2's which weigh about 50lbs each

Thanks guys for the help. Looks like I will get 285/75/16 tires.
