Let me start off with the details of my truck.
It's an 05 TRD 4x4 v6, and I bought her used about 3 months ago. It was all stock when I bought her.
I have installed fox 2.0 coilovers and spc lr uca's. I had the co's set around 1.5-2 inches, and I decided to crank them up to 2.5 inches.
When I cranked them up, I decided to put a 1 inch block on the rear, along with icon vs series shocks.
When I was installing the rear stuff, I noticed that my leaf springs are sagging pretty badly.

I don't tow anything, but I do go on off-roading trips about once a month. I am mostly looking for a smooth cushiony ride on the highway. Is replacing the leaf springs necessary for what I do? Will it make the truck ride better on road? If the truck will ride the same as it does now if I put new leaf packs on, I'd rather save the money. If it will drastically improve the ride quality, I'll buy em.

The 2nd gen rear springs are notorious about being weak and sagging. There was a TSB put out by Toyota to replace them, but you're in the same boat as me, way out of the time limit. If they are worn out, just replace them with a better set. Just use the search function to find which would be best for you, there are a lot of guys on here that can help you out as well. I'm not one of them.

Will the icon progressive add a leaf leaf pack correct this or is a complete new leaf pack necessary? I am looking at the skyjacker soft ride leaf pack also.

Ha! It's like you crawled under my truck and took a picture of MY springs instead. I am replacing mine with new packs. Still haven't decided on who yet though. I will probably end up going with Dakar, or a custom pack from Alcan.

I would do the Dakar myself, but my brand new icon shocks are only good for up to 2.5 inches of lift and the dakars will give me around 3 I believe.

I have an access cab, so I would def. get more than 2.5 inches. I'd like to keep it at 2 inches of total lift or less on the rear. Everyone seems to hate on blocks, but lets be real. I'm not trying to get super flexed out, and it's a DD. I am curious about the wheelers off road leaf pack too.
I feel like I've read this somewhere, but can't you get the dakars and then just remove one or two of the leafs to lessen the spring rate and lower the total amount of lift? Hate to beat a dead horse if all of this has already been answered on another post, but I couldn't find an answer.
The dakars are about 100 bucks less than the wheelers pack, so I'd rather get the dakars and remove a leaf if that is a logical thing to do.

You can remove one of the leafs from the Dakars and a few people have removed one of the overloads too

Those heights are in the OP of that thread too

Well in the next month, it looks like I'll be going with the dakars and just remove a leaf or two. I appreciate the help man.

See, im not looking for my ride to get more stiff. I want that thing riding like it's on a cloud. My dad used to have this old 1995 lexus ls400 that he bought new back in the day. He just sold it about 2 years ago. All the struts were leaking. That thing felt like you were riding on a cloud when you were going about 90 mph in it. I long for that kind of ride, but I know there is no way in HELL to get that kind of a ride in a lifted Tacoma.

You can, with the proper suspension work. I have a mid travel front and I don't feel anything. The rear is a different story.

Here's an AAL (if thats what you want to call it) I put together or help others do it themselves, if just 1 of these leafs are added you'll get about an inch, if both you'll get 2"-2.5" lift, payload increase, improved ride quality actually...

    You make those?
How much would one that gives me 2 to 2.5 inches cost?
