It's not that I thing my Baja suspension is precious, but it seems like a load of misinformation.

Starting with the rear doesn't look saggy at all as you posted just above here. And add in that Bilstein 5160's don't blow out to the tune of four in 16k miles . . . . . . .

Well does the op go off roading at all? I mean leaf packs on the sag with justa few hundred pounds of weight in the rear. to be honest I feel the op is leaving something out of his explanation.

Right, the Baja factory setup is the 4-leaf pack that comes with the factory tow package. Which is what I have on this SR5.

I've had the Baja suspension kit on the truck for about 6000 miles now and no sagging. And, as I stated above I've been hauling a 3160 lb dry, 3800 lb loaded trailer for 2000 miles. WITH the Leer capper, WITH weight of tools and two extra propane tanks in the bed. No sagging after unhitching the trailer, no blown out shocks.

Granted, the factory springs are weak. The trailer brings them down even with a WDH. I'm certainly looking into a fifth leaf, or full replacement packs.

I want to still have full down droop on these shocks (which the factory four leaf pack allows), and the quick response drooping (which the factory four leaf pack allows).

The truck is excellent offroad on washboards, highspeed in open desert, nice suspension setup, but yeah, the load carrying capability is not so good.

Trying to find the right compromise is the problem I'm running into . . . . .

The two pics he posted, where the rear looks just fine, ya know where there is about five inches of clearance between the tires and the flares? Which is typical for Tacomas? Looks to me like there is no problem with sagging. Dunno wtf picture you're looking at . . . . .

Wouldn't lemon laws apply to this if the same issue keeps happening?

That leaf pack is flat from the picture provided. Hit a big enough dip and the shocks may bottom out and blow seals...just my 2 cents which is worth $37 and change.

This is awesome. OP you are being called out bro! kidding. Monkeywrench or whatever his name is wasn't hugged enough as a kid, so don't worry about him. He can't help being confrontational toward you. Back on topic, seems your options are to stick with the dealer till the warranty runs out or upgrade to a good leaf pack and put all this behind you.

Please. You must have a poor understanding of suspension. The shocks won't bottom out, there's this thing called a bump stop. Specifically designed to keep the shocks from bottoming out. $37 and some change, my ass. Maybe .01 rubles contribution.

I've hit some massive dips with the trailer on, and gee whiz guess what, no blown shocks.

Just a thought, but has anyone ever told you that you come across as a dick? Just idle observation.
Oh, and what trailer was that? We haven't heard you mention it in this thread yet.

Hugs? HUGS? I don't need no stinking hugs. Maybe you're harking back to your own childhood. Which would explain your passive-aggresiveness.

Thank you for the diagnosis. But I feel we are doing the OP an injustice by hacking his thread. So....Monkeyface...guy, enjoy. You win. You are beyond my limits of thinking and comprehension. I bow to you.

I have heard that before, and I admit it's legitimate.

Maybe you should read and heed to see what truck I have, fool. It's pretty simple to see I have an SR5 with the Baja suspension added . . .. Who's the dick now?
