Well where to start...I just replaced my light racing upper control arms due to the old style bushings wearing out. My truck has 130,000 miles on it. I also need new tires due to my abnormal wear up front that I think was caused by the control arms. My question is about replacing the lower ball joints and tie rods. I checked them but couldn't tell if they are worn or not. I hate to take my truck and have it aligned before I figure this out. The tire has absolutely no play from 12-6 oclock or 9-3....Hate to spend the 300 bucks on parts if they are not needed however I don't want a lower ball joint failure either. Any input would be appreciated.

    Too few to list.
That's the correct way to check our ball joints. Also visually inspect the boot for any damage.

Man that sucks about the Light Racing UCA. If you still have your old style ones I would call up Light Racing and see what they could do about replacing your old style ones with the new ones. I have the new ones and have been pretty happy with mine.
