I have a 2012 ac sr5 v6 that I want to lift. I am currently in colorado and could pick up any parts from slee, 4wheel parts or toytec. I just put 265/75/16 ltx m/s2 on stock rims and now want to lift it. This truck is my daily driver and I drive 85% dry/snowy pavement and 15% forest roads.
So my question is what lift should I get that would ride well without a plate steel bumper? But would still be able to handle the extra load later when i have the money to buy one.
I really dont need a full 3 in lift any where between 1.5 and 2 would be great for the low stress offroading I do.
    Toytec options:

    OME with 884/885/886 $780
Toytec ultimate lift kit with Radflo coilovers 600 or 650lbs $1270
Bilstein 5100 Height Adjustable (no spring rate posted) $920

all kits come with 1.5in aal and I would also buy
Light Racing Upper Control Arms (05 & UP Tacoma)
    P/N: LR25470 $400
    or
Camburg Ball Joint UCA's. 05+ Tacoma
    P/N: CAM-310039 $450

Any info that could help or links to other posts.

Save the money on the UCA in my opinion. I've had 2.5" spacer lift in front with no issues what so ever. My tires are worn nice and smooth and truck tracks straight as can be.

    Welcome to TW

For what you are looking for, my vote is OME w/ 886. I am running OME w/ 885 and definitely recommend it. GREAT on and off road.

I run LR UCAs; no complaints.

The only thing with AAL is they cause bro lean (ask me how I know) ;) If you go OME, I would go with the full kit including the Dakars. I am currently upgrading to Dakars now.

    Here are some good threads:
