So heres the situation… I know what suspension I want in the long run, and its going to take a while to save up for it, but in the mean time, i want to get a kit from the dealer or dealer insured, that will give me clearance in the front to fit a little bit bigger tire, and also just for the looks stand point, so a 3inch in front, 1 inch in back.

As of right now I have the stock TRD OR suspension, so please give me your suggestions on what would be best to improve my ride, or keep it the same, and add that lift in the front/back. I'm not looking for anything expensive at all, I'm fine with the suspension now, it works great for what I do do and its my DD so an improvement in ride would be nice. So whatever is the best for the best cost?

I've looked at just adding the pro comp spacer kit, I've looked at the replacement Bilsteins, and I guess i just don't know enough about the low performance kits to make an intelligent choice.

Billie 5100's, and an AAL is probably the best value and not garbage lift.

And adding the 5100's will lift the front end, and improve my ride?

    Which AAL would you suggest?

Everything you need to know about the Billies versus "the other shit"-

    http://www.bilsteinus.com/fileadmin/user_upload/user_upload_us/pdfs/Bil_LevShks_WebArticle_01.pdf

A ton of guys are running them and they love 'em.

I don't know squat about an AAL. I'm more of a "throw this oem garbage away and gimme some real leaf springs" kinda guy. Check into Toytec, Wheelers Offroad, Downsouth Motorsports. They all offer good stuff and can set you up properly.

So basically what i just read was that if i don't care about raising the back of my truck i can just get Billies all the way around, and it'll give me the front clearance for a little bit bigger tire, the back will fit it because theres no worry about rubbing, and ill be set.If i want a more "complete" performance replacement then AAL would be that extra step

    kick ass!

well if you just want something to get you by i wouldn't suggest spending a ton of money and then turn around and sell them again! after i get my truck funds back up i will be running a 3" rough country lift! they make good product but its a spacer lift...so really its up to you! i will leave a link, hope it helps!

That's the gist of it. The 5100 is a superior method to lift the front as opposed to spacers, and is adjustable so you can get it just the way you want it. The ride characteristics are much better to any form of spacer, while still retaining the oem coil. If you want to crank the 5100 all the way up in the front for close to 3" of lift and add a 1" AAL in the rear you can do it with Billies on all four corners. The point is this- Your spending a little more, but you are not sacrificing ride quality or the ability for your suspension (front spindle) to move up and down as it should.

I went a little more expensive with an Old Man Emu setup all around (new struts and springs) and LR UCA's, but I wanted 3" of lift and a more robust setup for overlanding. In your case the Billies will get you lifted/leveled out, you can still do some good off-roading if you want, and driving around on pavement will be just as enjoyable.

And you can sell of the Billie setup here on TW for what it's worth to recoup some of the cost when you're ready to upgrade.

I'm assuming the trim packer is no bueno with the Billies? If it's any worse than stock he could use the 1/4" TP spacer on the D/S without any adverse effects.

    I think I'm about 1/3-1/2" taco lean and I don't even notice.

He was talking about setting them at 2.5 with a top plate with NO add-a-leaf or block in the back... AAL 'would be that extra step' he said...

Annolino, meet Moose. If you havent figured it out already, he knows a lot. A couple of his threads have come in real handy for me in the past.

Exactly.... Just replacing the shocks on all 4 corners so I can get enough lift to fit a bigger tire in the front fenders. That's really it. Also to get the look of the lift... And from the sounds of it the performance is better too

That's my plan down the road when it's out of warranty, and when I have $4,400 to drop on the complete suspension I want
