I've read a lot on here and I hate to post this, but I just want to get headed in the right direction. I'm looking to lift my truck 1-3" and get some bigger tires, maybe 32" tires. I'll get some wider wheels too, but I don't want to do too much and have to really mess with the drive train. I do not want a "lift kit", I would like a new suspension.

Now, I've read that OME is a great product, if I can, I'll go with them. I also have worked with Goodyear's Wrangler tires and know they are good tires. That's the direction I'm kind of leaning towards is an OME suspension to achieve a good lift, and Wrangler tires.

My question to all of you is if you were given a Taco, mines 4 door, 4X4, tow package, 4.0, what would you do to achieve my goals? Anything wrong with the OME and Wranglers? And what else will I really need to do to achieve that 1-3" lift and to give a good ride while not doing any harm to my truck?

    Thanks for your time!

I do a lot of hunting so I take my truck all over. If I'm off roading, the most extreme would be down and up river banks, I do drive to my hunting destinations so it needs to be able to still be a decent driver too. No rock crawling or anything like that, just moderate trail riding.

Ok great, what website do you prefer to use? And will I need anything extra that is not included with their kit?

I've looked at their products too, it seems to be a toss up between the two brands. I'll keep them in mind when I buy, what kit would you recommend?

SOS Front Bumper, SOS Sliders, SOS skids, ARB Rear Air Locker, OME Lift (885x Coils, Nitro Charger Shocks, Dakar Leafs), LR UCAs, Leer Shell, OKLED 30" light bar, Wet Okle Seat covers, etc, etc
If you get the OME 884 coils instead of the 885 you should be able to keep your factory UCAs. The 884 will probably give your double cab 4x4 about 2" up front. The 885 will give you around 2.5, which will probably require new UCAs to get your alignment right.

I'm looking at the stage 2 ICON suspension kit, it shows that it will give the rear 1.5" lift, what does it do for the front? And cstallings, I'll keep that in mind while I'm pricing everything.

That's what I'm getting ready to order. The rear depends on what leads you have, the front is 0-3" lift.

I prefer something with the ext travel coilovers, which will ultimately be an ext travel coilover and uniball upper arm combo. This offers you additional droop travel over the standard coilovers making it better both on and offroad.
