Well I called the dealership this morning not far from the job we were doing to set up the work to be done on the suspension. I told him I hauled some glass door panels and the truck sagged and rode bad. Then I let him know I researched the problem to find out if it was just me or was there a problem with them and I came across a site that showed the suspension issues. He took all my info and checked to see if they had the parts. He said he had the leafs but couldn't find all the shocks but said it's here just need to locate them. He said it should take 4 hours and that worked out perfect for me, we would take about 4 1/2 hours to complete our job. Dropped it off and said see you soon.

Then I get the phone call around 12:30 while we're cleaning up. He said he's waiting on the leaf springs and the truck doesn't qualify for the shocks because Toyota updated the TSB in January that nonTRD and 4x2's only get the leafs. He said thats all he can do and if the ride doesn't improve come back in and they're replace the shocks to TRD ones. I wasn't happy but I was on my way there anyways to wait for it till 4. I got there and good news after he talked to someone in CO., the guy told him to just make the customer happy and do it all. He told me to come back tomorrow because he needed to get 1 shock from another dealer and sent me off in a nice 09 Hybrid Camry.

The service guy was actually pretty honest and very helpful. When I got there he was on the phone still with person in CO. and had my paperwork in front of him. I should of known it couldn't be that easy. I haven't taken any pics of it because I don't have a camera but my new phone is at least 3.1 so tomorrow I'll post some.

I had a '05 without the TSB and my '06 has it and it makes a big difference.

Thats what I've read and since I will be hauling windows and some panels in it, I felt better getting it done now. A double pane tempered glass door cost hundreds of dollars but I always pad them so it would take an accident to break them.

The truck was ready to today but our nightmare window job took longer than expected so I'll get it tomorrow morning. The house we replaced windows at today was on a hillside and had a long steep driveway. We have a 14ft. enclosed trailer we pull with an 03 F-250 Extra CAb 4x2 V-10, I tried to back up the driveway because once up there it's tight. I got about 20 ft. up and the tires we're spinning on a rough concrete driveway. So I just pulled straight in and it was surprisingly easy to back it down.

Got it back today and rides great. I asked to the balance the wheels for me expecting to get charged since I asked how much it was but since the front only needed it he didn't charge me. I'm very pleased with the whole experience and even got to hit some light trails today to start breaking in those rear leafs.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
Mine is getting done Monday. Dealer really gave me no hard time about it, the service guy even agreed with me, And made valid points about it.

Picked mine up yesterday afternoon, dealer experience was outstanding. Truck definitely sits higher and rides firmer, combined with the new 5100's it feels and looks great.

You gotta wonder why Toyota made these trucks so soft in the first place, a misplaced notion of what Americans want? Kind of like putting NINE cupholders in my Access Cab huh?

Yes they did the alignment as well, toe-in, camber and caster. I went to Riverview Toyota like you suggested Chris and they were great, Thanks. One day I'll put some 5100's on the front to level it out since I don't really like that slanted look but for now it's fine.

It was going to get washed and the badges were coming off to be painted black but my cousins came over to hang out. We did end up getting some pizza and sandwiches though at a place I've never been and it was some of the best pizza I've had. It was called Spinatos at 12th St. and Glendale, for the locals or anyone else.
