I am trading in my '05 Tacoma for a '14. I have been running an OME setup on my '05 with 885x and TC UCAs. I haven't exactly been happy with that setup. Frame rubbing when flexing (did not to body chop mod) and the constant jarring of suspension when hitting pot holes and speed bumps because there just isn't any wheel travel left. Didn't like having to go so slow in the hills when there were miles of big pot holes while watching my friends fly through them without their suspension beating the shit out of them like mine did.

I'm keeping my 33s and like the way they look on the tacomas, so I'd like to run them on my new truck. I have no desire to run 35s.

I'm considering an RCD 4.5" DB lift for my new truck. I'd like to hear from current owners of the DB lifts. Any regrets? Any advice before I buy and cut the cross member. Would be a little late to change my mind once I do that...

What did you have and why did you take it off?

from what i've gathered through hours of research seems most would suggest skipping the DB lift and going straight to mid travel or long travel (especially if wheeling).

with that being said i dont wheel my tacoma anything more then a dirt road or easy offroad trail. I'll be doing the BDS 6in with fox 2.5 coilovers and alcan packs with 2.0 fox shocks in the rear. Nothing but good reviews so far on that lift and with some UCA's it seems to flex pretty well.
