Just got Billies, want AAL need advice.

Hey guys so just installed my Bilstein 5100s up front set at 1.75'' and couldnt be happier with the results(Pics soon). now i want to AAL, im looking to get the Toytec 1 or 1.5'' AAL, i really just want to achieve around a full 3'' lift. so a 1'' will do me good but I have some questions, will I NEED new shocks? and after i get the AAL i want to level out the front but dont want to put the Billies at 2.5'' cause I dont want to get new UCAs and dont want a bad ride, can i just get maybe like a 1'' spacer w/o having to get new UCAs? please help!

Ps: im a newb at lifts, this is my first so if i asked anything dumb, dont judge, haha. thanks!

are you going to be offroading?

It's better to be safe than sorry with the length of the rear shocks. People blew out their stock-length 5100's with an AAL
(FWIW, I wheeled my AAL with stock length shocks fine)

if you're going to lift the front more, you should get new coils rather than stacking a spacer

I'd get 5160 shocks for the rear man that way you don't have to worry about it.

I would not do it... Go with the longer billy or something..

Im doing 5100s up from with toytec coils and then fox or icons in the back with a new leaf pack

I have no need for anything more then the billys and toytecs up front .. but dont mind spending a bit more in the back for towing ect

Be happy at 1.75 lift in the front and no spacers!
Doesn't matter if you went 2.5 on front shocks, or 1.75 & then a 1" spacer! you will still extend the front lower control arms to the max, and lose your alignment specs, then you will need UCA's.

I just did a 3" lift kit. but I removed it & the new UCA's.
I am back to stock with front billies @.85

ps - I also think with your front billies @1.75, I would think 1.5" aal on the back would give you the look you would want, with a slight slope in rear. and better for towing...
(but I would do a search on billies @1.75, and see what others have done to the rear.)

I am actually selling my kit -

You're not gonna get TSB leafs on an 05 truck for free, especially if you are past 36k miles. And FWIW, on my 05 AC prerunner, I had 5100s with stock length rears, set at 2.5 up front with LR UCAs and a 1.5 AAL out back. Never had any issue with rear shocks whatsoever. I have an 08 RC now with 5100s set at 1.75 up front and 3 leaf pack out back. I didn't know there was a 1 inch AAL, thought the lowest was 1.5 and didn't wanna lift the back that much without adding shell or toolbox. I may have to check that 1" AAL out. Been trying to score someone's saggin AALs so I'd get no lift, just beef up the 3 leaf to 4. IMO, a 1" AAL on your truck will not blow up your stock length 5100s. Don't see where adding the extensions would hurt anything either if it makes you feel better about it since this will be light duty offroad. People breaking stuff are the ones pushing things wheeling, flexing & catching air.

5100's are pretty simple, you don't have to add new springs or leafs... they just help a lot...

so running them with the stock coils and set @1.75 in front and having stock leafs with rear 5100 are fine? and what would be the best set up combination for these bilstein 5100? would love plenty more advice

yes, you can , but it may be a little stiff... you could do an add a leaf to level out the rear after lifting the front. Get new springs with the billies, and add the leafs in rear... good luck
