Getting ready in a few weeks to install my OME full kit w/Dakars and LR UCA's. Currently I have a coil spacer up front for 2.5" and AAL in the rear for 2". I have 3 degree shims installed and I have a light vibe between 10-20mph. Its not bad at all and it drives fine at any other speed. I would like to eliminate the vibes with the OME kit. I will be using the measuring how to's on here to adjust it but my question is I have the CustomTacos carrier bearing drop thats designed for 2-4" of lift that will be getting installed at the same time should I also do 3 or 4 degree shims as well? I would need to order the ones that slide under leafs before i start anything. Any thoughts?

If you plan on using the slide in style axle shims with Dakars I hope you know you will need centre pin collars

Oz yes I actually ordered new collars. The center pins on the dakars should be long enough I hope. Pretty much I am thinking do the carrier drop and see how it drives. Then decide on shims that slide in if I need them.

Are the shims bad? Could you install them when installing the leaf pack? Don't you have to replace u-bolts if you torque them then take them off to put in shims?

I have reused U-bolts before. I have loosened them to make adjustments and retorqued them. I retorque if needed every oil change while I grease DS. I hopefully wont need shims after the carrier drop but once I install the lift its the only way to tell

I would'nt reuse the u bolts more than twice personally.
