I though the best thing is to throw this out to all you Taco experts. I have a 2009 TRD Sport with a 3" rough country lift. That has the block to lift the leaf springs. On my driver side I broke a leaf; now I'm trying to decide how best to repair it. Toyota wants 500$ a pop for the OEM trd leafs. Old man emu leafs were recommended to me by my local 4x4 garage. They also said the old man emu leafs would lift the truck high enough that the blocks would not be necessary. Finally, for 250$ I can get the broken leaf replaced.

All that being said, its not as much about the cost as it is about the result. It is my daily driver and the ride does matter. I get beat up enough with the ride it has now. Please any and all thought and advise are very welcome!

Out of all those choices, I would go with the Dakars.

For what Toyota wants for the TRD leafs, (1) you can replace them with Dakars, (2) get rid of the block spacer and (3) not have to worry about the TRD leafs failing again.

    Just my .02

My driver side leaf spring broke on my 09 TRD Sport back in August. My warranty didn't cover replacement. I ended up going with the Dakars. Never looked back.

I have a 3" rough country lift; does anyone know which replacement set I should order so that I don't need the blocks?

    Thank you for the replies!

According to link from wheelers off-road the dakars provide about 2.75'' of lift.
