Just bought my first Tacoma - 2012 TRD Off road double cab. I upgraded to some 265/75 duratracs and am thinking suspension now. This is my daily driver so 5 days a week its on pavement. Hunting season I'm seeing off road use every weekend and some highway miles. I think I'm looking for a suspension that will give me about 1.5 to 2 inches of lift and some increased wheel travel. Also something that rides nice on pavement and possibly increases payload.

I'm brand new to this so I'll need a lot of direction on specifics.

So far I'm thinking like a basic ome suspension kit or maybe a fox 2.0 performance series coilover and shock. Would these be way over kill or just perfect but expensive?

Not sure what I'll need for each or for parts in general. I've done enough looking around to think that coilovers and shocks will be enough not sure if I should do leafs in the back or if its required.

I'd like to keep it simple while still gaining some performance on and off road.

    Let's have it guys....

Hidden GPS tracking system. Backflip cover, weather techs, bed mat, tailgate lock, OME 885 springs, blistein shocks, 2.5 in AAL/
    welcome to TW.
If money is no object, OME or Toytech lift kits will work for you. Have someone install all of this for you and do the alignment.

Or you could go the 885 springs, blistein shocks all around and an AAL 2in.
this set up will give you 2.5 or less of lift. And do all the work yourself. Then the alignment. Or 884 springs and 1.5 AAL with blistein shocks for 2 in or less.

Lots of choices. Try the stickie links about lifts at the top of this section of TW to get more ideas. Searching on specific items will give you others experiences and some more ideas.
