Like the title says adding a camper shell that weighs roughly 250 lbs and my vehicle is a 2013 access cab TRD sport. I am wondering if the cap is going to cause the rear to sag. I was wondering if it is worth doing an add a leaf. If the added weight is going to affect the rear suspension if its on there all the time also, I will have a heavy rubber floor mat (40 lbs) in the vehicle and a 100 lb dog a majority of the time.

Any comments from experience would be greatly appreciated.

It may squat an inch or so.You could take measurements as it sits today and then re-measure after adding top, dog, mat, and full tank of fuel.1.5'' add a leaf would probably work well.

My 03 squats a good bit with my top but I also have a 12 yr. old leaf pack.

I carry 300lbs of tools in the back of my 13.. yes, it does squat some. But what is more bothersome is if you crawl under it the leaf springs look flat (horizontal). I put a 2.5 Deaver AAL on it and raised the front with OME springs. Problem solved.

I have a '13 TRD OR AC, put a snugtop rebel on it last fall and it dropped the rear about 1 inch. There is still some rake. The only time it "bro'd up" was when I loaded the bed with a shit ton of ceramic tile, bags of thinset, grout and cement board.
