Bilstein 5100 and eibach height misunderstanding

I know I know, beating a dead horse... but I just installed my bilstein and eibach kit from toytec with the rear aal. My front end is only sitting about 1.7 inches higher than stock. I know the spring is advertised to give that amount of lift. My bilstein are set at zero per the toytec recommendation. My issue is, could I disassemble my springs again and set them at .85 so that I could actually get near the three inch lift? My rear end is sitting just about 2.5 inches higher as it sits right now. Oh also the is may be important I say toytec recommended that setting because I drive a 4 cylinder access cab.

 

You can change the setting or install the top place spacers to get what your looking for. I'm a set for sell if you want to go that route.

 

I'll most likely end up changing the setting. I just can't really figure out why toytec is advertising to use the lowest when it doesn't achieve the lift. Frustrating having to redo it.

 

When I did mine. (Dbc v6). I had the .85 setting with the little spacer things to get the full 3" lift. I'm not 100% sure about acs cabs though

 

Yeah I have heard the spacers are necessary for the del cab, but not the access cab. I just want to make sure other people with 4cyl or access cabs don't run into this same problem. I guess the only difference between the acs cab and del cab install should be the spacers.

 

I know for 1st gens you have to use the 0" setting when installing 5100/Eibachs. Maybe toytec got their instructions mixed up?

 

Good call, that could be it. I emailed them just aski my if they could explain it further. This way maybe they can fix the website and save some double work. Guess it's time for more beer and busted knuckles.

 

Also just wanted to add my measurments in case anyone was wondering. After bilsteins set at 0 and eibach springs added the front with a 2" aal in the back. (Non Tsb original leaf pack)

21.5" hub to fender (front)
24" hub to fender (rear)

 

Here's my 2008 access cab V6 with Eibachs, Billies @ .85, 2" AAL's and Light Racing UCA's. I haven't measured but I can tell it's close to 3" of lift.

 

Here is my 2012 acs cab 4 cylinder with the 5100 and eibachs. this is after I adjusted the front bilstein to .85. I now measure roughly 22.5 front and 24 rear. granted the aal has not settled yet. When I had the front set at 0 per toytec instructons it looked like a funny car.

 

If you asked for a 3" lift then Toytec screwed up by telling you to set them at the zero lift setting. If you stated that you wanted your truck level then the zero setting is where it should be.

Either way, your truck looks nice with the 2.5". If you wanted the full 3" lift then you could go with the 1/4" top plate spacers.
