thanks. I was going to run stock springs, but I'm just going to get 885's when I order my 5100's in a few weeks. then I'll save up for some uca's

yea.. I did billies w/ stock coils but my next upgrade is to 885x and possibly 5100 set at 0 or get the nitrochargers that were built for the 885/886 coils.. haven't done the research on which is better shock

What is the difference between Eibach coils, 884s, and 885s? Also, someone mentioned that 2.5" on 5100s is slightly stiffer than stock. Does anyone know where stock sits on the scale?
    Ex.
    0": Best ride
    .85":Next best
    1.75": Better than 2.5
    2.5": Stiffer than stock

    Where does stock fit in?

    Beautiful truck!

Thanks for that advice, would you please explain how rim width affects how large the tires look??

Also, how does the width (245, 265, 275, etc) affect height? I don't understand why 245/75/16 is a shorter tire than 265/75/16.

Also, how much does all of that affect MPGs? I don't want to sacrifice a substantial amount

the first numbers like 265 they are measured in millimeters in width

the second numbers like 70 are height that is from the tread to the rim that number is also measured in mm

The second number is actually a percentage of the width. So if the tire is 265mm wide, with an aspect ratio of 75, then the tire has 75% of it's width in height.

This is why a 285/75 tire is taller than a 265/75.

Thank you! I did not know that, I thought the second number was what percentage of the height was tire as opposed to rim! Much clearer now

Why are there no 245 width tires that are 33"? Seems like the best option for those wanting the look but not the offroading capabilities or MPG dump of 33" tires with their lift.

Sorry to bring back a dead thread but better than starting a new one right?
Anyways love your truck just wondering
    1. how will having 18in rims affect me tire size wise.
    2. how does your's ride like over speed bumps and sudden bumps like potholes ect compared to stock.

Im wanting something to soak up speed bumps but not speed a couple grand...
