Hey guys. Ever since loading a slide-in camper onto my truck I have been hearing a metal on metal knock from the front driver's wheel well area. It only happens at slow speed when I go through a dip or a bump and almost only when the wheel is slightly turned, but not always. Initially I thought that maybe my tires were bumping up into my wheel wells since I have 265/70r17 but it really sounds like more of a metal knock.

It is a pretty heavy load but I wouldn't expect something to be bottoming out up front. No issues with rough or loose handling, and I got under there and checked for loose parts but found nothing. My next step is to make sure all nut I can find are torqued down but I was hoping someone could give me some direction or ideas of what could be causing it. Totally stock suspension, only addition is Timbren SES bumpstops in the rear.

    Thanks

I have the same issue after adding in new Eibach coils up front. Anyone have any idea?

Lube your sway bar, UCA , LCA bushings . I think that dry bushings cause most of the knock or clunk in the front end. Especially when it happens going into a driveway or something. I don't think the new weight in the rear is the cause just coincidence.

Thanks. Truck's only a year old. I wouldn't expect dry bushings but I will give it a shot.
