    Bilstein 5100 Shocks Lifted 2”
    Hello All,

I just purchased some new leaf springs and the Bilstein 5100 shocks all the way around. I am going to use the stock coil.

My questions is the new leafs I purchased add 1.5" - 2" to the rear.
Using the stock coils what setting do I want to set the Front 5100's to to level the truck? From what I've read setting them at 1.75" will level a stock set of leaf springs.

I wouldn't mind and would actually prefer the rear to be a little bit higher than the front since I tow a boat and also haul my Blaster around in the back.

Just trying to figure everything out prior to doing the install so that I don't have to take them off and set again to the desired height. I will probably bring the shocks and stock set up to a garage to have them take off the coil springs and ut on the new shocks so I don't hurt myself when doing it. I may retn the spring compressor from Autozone but it depends on the type of compressor they have.

    Thanks for the help

Can't say if this the norm, but when I set my 5100's at 1.75 with the stock 3-leaf rear springs I ended up with the rear 1 inch lower than the front. Mind you, this was with over 30k on stock rear springs. I'm currently looking at Wheeler's 3-leaf AAL hoping to get back to level or a mild rake on my DCLB,

With mine set at 2.5 up front and 3 leak pack with 1.5 AAL out back on my old 05 access cab, there was 1.25" rake, higher in back.

With them set at 1.75 and 3 leaf pack and no AAL on my 08 reg cab, I have same 1.25" rake higher in back.

What truck do you have......AC, DCLB, DCSB or RC?

I have an access cab. It is a 2008 trd sport.
The leaf springs I purchased are skyjacker soft ride TCR515S. Supposed to give it a 1.5" - 2" lift.

I may just set the front at the .85 so that the rear is higher by a little bit that way it will level out when towing my boat or if I have my wheeler in the back.

But any input would be greatly appreciated

I have a 2014 AC cab with 4 leafs in back. I just installed Billies all around and set fronts at 1.75 hoping I would be level but Im .25 inch high in the front. I dont like that. Should I drive it a while and see if it settles or go for 1 inch lift in back?? Do I do 1 inch block or aal? I need a good ride as I drive the truck 60 miles round trip to work.

Well after the alignment and some test driving everything settled perfectly even. Im going to drive it a while and see how I like it. New wheels and tires this Saturday.

i have a 2011 dcsb trd sport, with billies at 1.75 and a 1.5inch aal on the tsb leaf pack. So 5 leafs (1 is an overload) I have about 1.25-1.50 inch higher in the rear. Before the aal i was .25-.5 inch taller in the front and some serious sag in the rear with a trailer. 1.75 with the leafs should leave u rear high a bit still especially because u have an AC

So it sounds like I will want to set the front height at 1.75" and I should be good then.

Thanks all for the help. It will save me some time having to do trial and error to get it set right.

Ok so I received my new leaf springs today. I was told when I ordered them that they will come with everything I needed but all I received was the leaf springs. they came with the bushings and had the center bolt.

I was hoping they came with new U Bolts and the bolts to mount the leaf springs but with no avail.

Does anyone know what size the u bolts are and what size the bolst are to mount to the frame?

I'm hoping my local parts store has the u bolts in stock. Chances are they will be able to tell me what size the U bolts need to be and hopefully the mounting bolts also but just wanted to check to see if anyone on here new off hand.

(It is for a 2008 TRD Sport Access Cab)

    Thanks

This is how mine turned out with Billies set at 1.75 and no lift in rear. Its perfectly level. I added 17 inch wheels and 265/70/17 tires. After driving it the last week I think I need a 1.5 aal bump in the rear. It sags with the lightest load in back. I originally wanted a flat look but now I want the rake back. I can see this is a disease like my Jeep was.
