Need rear shocks on a budget

Ok I know everyone is going to tell me to get 5100ís but I canít afford them I have other things to pay for. I need new rear shocks that are about 1-2 inches longer then stock for my 2009 TRD off road I have heavy duty rear springs that have lifted the truck about 1-2 inches. I donít do any major off roading but do tow a small trailer and go camping and fishing. Are there any shocks out there that will give me the extra length I need that wonít cost 100 bucks a shock. I looked on advancedautoís & Rockauto's websites but everything is stock length or shorter.

Utterly how many miles on them ? I think thats the stock stock length for my 2009 though. Ive never put a lift on a truck so I probably don't know what i'm talking about LOL. But I was told that my stock shocks are at thier limit as far as extending. I get a loud bang after a drive over say a large rock or deep rut and was told that it was my shock hitting its limit as far as travel.

Stock is listed as around 22. Thanks for the offer Utterly I would like to find something new or as low miles as possible. The company I work for is closing and I'm trying save as much as I can not knowing if i'm going to be able to find a job making as much as I do now. So something that will last as long as possible. Thanks again for the offer though I appreciate it.

i ran the sky jacker H7045 model number for rear shocks on my 09 with the dakar leaf pack. this will be perfect for you 2 inches of added rear height. they are about 24.5 extended length and compress to pretty much same as stock. i compressed and extended them frequently when wheeling for two years on them with no issues. i think they run under $90 for a set.

Just read a bunch good reviews I think these maybe the ones. They look good as far as the extre length.

weird cause i ran them for sure.. those daystars are some off label brand that i've never heard of. what the listing doesn't detail is the actual length of the shocks, they may say good for up to 1/2 inches of lift, but so do the 5100's that are actually just stock length. you need to get the extended length details to get the right shock. here is a listing of procomp rears that are available;

ProComp ES3000/ES9000 SHOCK ABSORBERS

32157X 21.75 13.15 8.6 Loop (2Ē) Stem (LG) 2.36
32251X 22.75 13.54 9.21 Stem Loop 2.36
32451X 24.7 14.52 10.18 Stem Loop 2.36
32551X 25.75 15.04 10.71 Stem Loop 2.36
32553X 25.17 14.79 10.38 Stem Loop 2.36
32555X 25.22 15.22 10 Stem (LG) Loop (2Ē) 2.36

the 32251X is stock replacement. the one in bold is the one i would suggest if going with procomp.

here is another link to the skyjacker h7045, 4wheel parts is wrong, if you go direct to skyjacker site you can find the details for all part numbers also;

if you want super cheap you can always go to autozone and pick up some monroe shocks, just dig around for the right part number for the length you want.

however, putting cheap shocks on a truck never sounds like a good idea lol

skyjackers will take the abuse, i spent a fair amount of time on 3 wheels when wheeling these, very happy for the cost. also the banging from the stockers wont occur anymore with these, smooth....
