I won a gift card to a website called bbwheelsonline.com. Dont need any new wheels or tires but i wouldn't mind the look of some 1.25 wheel spacers. MY question is would you put these wheel spacers on your truck? http://www.bbwheelsonline.com/1-25-wheel-adapter-spacers-6-bolt-set-of-4/
I have had read stories that scary me when it comes to wheel spacer about them busting off going 70 down the highway and stuff like that. From what i have read on here is that Forged > Cast and Hub centric > nonhub centric. If this is true i have no idea what these are cause there description is very short. Would you put these on your truck? Thanks

I would go with spider trax to be safe.

Wheel spacers usually crack because people over tighten them. The acorn lug will cause the hole to split.

    You could try it.
I had spacers, had to sell them because I needed the money (starving student).
The main problem people have is messing up the wheel bearings. If you do a considerable amount of off roading where you put a ton of stress on your suspension, then ya, eventually you'll have to replace the wheel bearings, but most have to eventually anyway, you would just be doing it a little sooner.
I would get them, try them, and if you dont like them, sell.

With those? Nah. I'd go with either spidertrax or synergy
Mine have held up great and I'm able to clear my 285s

Ok thanks for the reply guys. Think I will just use my gift card to buy some black lug nuts instead. Thanks again!

I run spacers in the front to clear my 315's even after I lost my rear driver wheel on the freeway when the studs sheared. It was wild. 7ajyzu3a_6154bf9df8683731cf0e5db1b4d49787d56e0d7c.jpg

Yea from what I'm reading I'm starting to agree with you.

Sweet looking truck! Losing a tire going that fast had to been scary. Any more damage then just the studs on the spacer?

I have 1.5" spidertrax. I have no fear of them breaking . I wheel the shit out of my truck. Breaking studs or cracking spacers is installer error or they were cheap spacers. Buy quality and install correctly and you will have no problems at all.

Just the rear fender flare. It was wild. My wheel hit another car and then launched off the overpass into someone's front yard. The other car drove off though. It could have been way worse. I was towing my boat at the time too.

Man I'm not trying to offend anybody on here but I think the most responsible thing to do would be to not run wheel spacers but I'm only saying that because wheels have flown off of trucks while in motion before.

Well maybe the responsible thing to do is not drive cars because cars can crash....
If installed PROPERLY QUALITY spacers will not be a problem.

I'm sure he intentionally installed them improperly. OP asked for our opinion, so no I wouldn't put them on my car because of the risk that they may break

Darn. Was that the problem? The spacer was perfectly in tact and secured to the factory lugs "with locktite". The spacer studs failed. It is what it is. I still run em up front. Just make sure to periodically check them for tightness. That being said, I only run them to stay off of my Frame and firewall with 315's

Really kid.. I never said he intentionally installed wrong. Cheap quality spacers and incorrectly installed spacers will cause problems
    that's what I said.kid..

Ok, old fart, how do you know when they are installed properly? Is there some magic light that comes on when they're installed correctly? No. There will always be a degree of uncertainty when using wheel spacers which is why I wouldn't use them and is exactly why they're not entirely safe. Would you want to be towing 3500 pounds and have a wheel come off, old fart?
