    I'm a noob. Is 13 3/4" enough? Can a hi-lift jack work?

Hi-lift jacks are for recovery uses ONLY. Not to be used for maintenance.

Mine lift was done in a shop with a lift.

I dont' think 13 3/4 is enough. You want to be around 20 I think.

It depends on the specific of your truck and the lift you want to install.

    Hi jack not recommended.

You should do well with a pair of 6-ton jack stands for the front frame rails and a pair of 3-ton jack stands for the rear axle. Use a floor jack

Look in your manual for lift points. Should be rear diff pumpkin and near your front cross members.

You need enough height to have you truck in the air with your new left at full droop and still have the tires off the ground.

13 3/4 is kinda of short but if you have a block of wood that will help. I would not Rely on a high lift they are very finicky.

I used 2 jacks and 2 jack stands. The jacks weren't overly tall but I only used them to get the frame on the jack stands and then to put under the axle so I could raise and lower it with the jacks. Use blocks of wood if your jack isn't tall enough to reach the frame but don't get under the truck until it's up on stands.
