Check out the suspension section. Plenty of threads there to make your head spin. I went icon front and rear. Works great for me.

If I had to do it again I would go with Icons personally. They are a Digressive shock and I prefer the feel of that more when driving. They are very nice. You can't really go wrong between Icon, Fox, King though to be honest...

If you plan on going over 2.5" of lift, new UCAs are highly recommended.

Just get the kit that suites you. Every kit gets a little better the higher level you go. If you want 2.5" shocks front and rear I think you have to go level 5 maybe 6.

No experience with toytec. Lots of options with your budget. Take your time and make a decision that will work for you. You don't want to be disappointed and spend money twice.

I've been running my toytec 3" kit with Light Racing UCA's for almost 2 years now and no problems at all. This is with mostly on-road driving and mild off-roading. If I had your budget I'd probably go with a King mid-travel setup. Icons are nice but I heard they can be a bit stiffer than King's and Fox on-road. My lift depended on what I'm gonna be using it for, like, I went with the toytec lift because it wasn't too expensive (right at $1k with UCA's) and I only needed the extra ground clearance to make it to the spots I like to camp at and the few area's I go shooting. However, I do wish I had saved a little more and went with a mid-travel setup so I could do a lot more off-roading here.

Icon and some of those other higher quality guys make quality lifts but you will def be paying higher prices. I'd check out Toyteclifts.com cause they have some good lifts for good prices. I'd stay away from spacer lifts and yes, if you go the full 3"s up front, aftermarket UCA's are recommended to get back the proper alignment.....not a must but a recommendation.

Def check out toytec. And like said above, if you go over 2.5" UCA's are HIGHLY recommended for a proper alignment. In my opinion though, I would recommend UCA's with any type of lift. If you go with toytec lift on a $3k budget, you'll be able to get an All-Pro Expo 3" leaf pack and Maxxtrac spindles as well and then you can adjust the 5100's for your truck to sit anywhere from 4-7". That's my next mod, Maxxtrac 4" Spindles and 3" leaf pack, when I can afford it (babies are expensive! lol). All in all, you should be able to get the lift, leaf pack, UCA's, and spindles for well under $3k. Put the left over savings towards wheels and tires! Keep in mind though, that with the spindles you WILL need a wheel of at least 16" and minimum of 4.5" backspacing or the wheels and tires will rub.

You're link pulled a cold air intake, lol. One thing I would suggest when it comes to lifts, I'd try and stay away from pro-comp. I had a 3.5" pro comp lift on my wife's jeep and it was nice but it was extremely stiff and rough. Can't speak for it being like that on other trucks but it was enough to make me not wanna try it out.
