I am wondering what are important factors for the different intended uses for a truck.

For instance, I am looking for a lift kit between 1.5 and 2 inches all around that will be used for city/highway driving and mild trails in the mountains. Would I be looking for different key specs vs someone who wants to drive really fast on bumpy dirt roads or jump their truck on sand dunes?

I guess an example would be spring rates? Would a lower spring rate be more comfortable on the highway, but give up performance in other areas? What do you look for in springs/shocks/coilovers for this situation?
