If you were to choose either Bilstein 5100 on stock coils set at .85 or OME 883 on stock Bilstein struts, which would ride best? Preload or not to Preload, :p.

    Can't decide, lol.

I know some people are going to say get the 5100 and 883, but you only had one choice above which would you choose?

Would the stockers rlly handle the 883's well?

I'd run 5100's instead of throwing aftermarket coils on the stock struts I guess.

Obviously u know the better choice already....... Both or ome/ome

Bilstein 5100's on all four corners. Front set @ 0 with OME 883x coils. Alcon leaf springs. Viper Alarm. Wet Okole seat covers. WeatherTech Floor liners front and back. Oem Toyota chrome exhaust tip. ARE Shell. America Outlaw Wheels.
I'm running the 5100's set at 0 and the ome 883's. The ride is great and it leveled it perfectly .

I called toytec asking this very question.
Their advice was that the softest ride would be the 5100 set at .85
The OME 883 are still 590lb just a lil shorter than the 884. Thats 90lb stiffer than stock.
you cannot (or should not) run the OME springs with stock shocks as the coil is too long. (ome nitrochargers are prob best MATCHED, but alot of people say the 5100s pair well too)

OME with 5100 is prob the best lift, but will be slightly stiffer than stock.

note stiffer doesnt always me harsher

Im going to start with the 5100s at .85 and if im unhappy but the OMW springs as I would need both if i went this route to start with.
Ill just wait a week to do the alignment

How many inches of lift does having 5100s at 0 and 883s give? I'm waiting for my rear to settle before I do anything up front. Want to maintain rake and was thinking 5100s at .85 with stock coils. Next would be Eibachs set at 0 (for 1.6"s) rather than pushing the 5100s to 1.75 with the stock coils.

883s are 1.25 lift and have a slightly lower spring rate than the eibachs
    590 vs 610
that doesn't necessarily mean stiffer as I don't know the length of the eibachs.

5100's all around with OME 884 at 0. Weathertechs, Carhartt seat covers. BFG KO2's 265/70/17. T4R SEMA wheels. 18% tint on front windows. General Springs HD 4 leaf pack, Leer 100 XR shell.
just put 5100's at 0 with ome 883 coils and it gave me 1.25" up front. truck is still half an inch higher in the rear. rides great. no preloading, I recomend if you just want to level it out.

I also did 1" BORA spacers and I think my truck looks exactly like a truck right off the lot should look. its not noticeable to those who arent looking for it but it is more aggressive and handles better. my girl even noticed the handling

you did 5100's at 0 and 883's with no lift in the back?
And your still 1/2 inch higher in the rear?
What exact model is your truck ? cab/engine/4x?/TRD?

hmmm wondering if the difference is the access cab

my 4x4 DC is almost exactly 1" lower in the front. so .85 is a quarter inch nose low, and 883 would be .25 nose high.

I chose the 5100 at .85 as I'm putting a shell on the back. Should all be here next week. Ill take before and after pics and post as soon as I can

On my DC, I'm running OME 884 with 5100's (at zero) and IMO, the ride is superior to stock.
