I recently bought a 07 quad cab 4x4 TRD Sport and was wanting to lift it a little and put some wheels and tires. I am not sure how much lift I need though. I was thinking either 33" or 35" tires but not sure. Depends on how much lift needed for either one to clear.

33's would need a minimum of 3" and the 35's would require a minimum of 6"

I got a 3" lift on my 06 Taoma quad and honestly wish I would have got a six inch lift if I were you I would go with the six inch also considering that you do have 4X4.....I think it looks bad ass.

i recently talked to some guys at toyota and they said that a 6" lift can be dangerous changing the center of gravity for this particular truck, they said that reccommended would be 2.5-3.5 maximum
========== somthing i forgot to ask was would it make sense to get tires and wheels before i got the lift? or would it just make sense to get them all together? what would the maximum tire size be for a taco before it rubs on stock suspension? |

well...depending on the size of the rims/tires, they might rub w/o the lift...so i'd either get them together or put the rims/tires up until u get the lift...

ok with a 3" lift I got 16X8 wheels with 285 75R 16 tires (33") which did require some body be cut away, nothing really noticable and still does slightly rub the frame. But I would wait to get any tires before you get you lift cause thier is no way you can fit a 33 with out having a lift just save up and get it done all at once .

Also thinking of 3" lift on 07 4x double
What about Warranty issues will it void warranty? I'm an avid surf fisherman and the 245/75 16 really don't cut it. I'm thinking of replacing them with 275/70-16's will 3' lift let me do that. If I just go with 265/70-16 can I put off the lift till warranty runs out? Running sandy beaches you want to air down to 20 lbs and spread tire foot print . I don't want my under carriage dragging sand. Any feedback helpful.
