Right now running 265/70R/16 on my 2001 4 cyl 5 speed 4WD Tacoma. Currently no lift/spacers/etc. Considering lift mostly for looks since I don't do a ton of off-roading. My truck is a daily driver. So whatever I get I want to ride smooth. However I'm also on a budget. I've read the best way to accomplish this is to go with adjustable Billy 5100s in the front and an AAL in the back. I've also read that it is the most cost effective. Any other parts I need with that set up? Would like to go up to possibly 32's but I don't want to do any trimming. Is that possible? If you have up to a 3" lift on a first gen could you post pictures of it and tell me about the lift you chose and why? Also ride quality? Thanks!

I don't have a 1rst gen, but I just did the Bilstein 5100 lift, and I have 265/70/17 on and the quality of the ride is comparable to stock. It's a little stiffer than stock but it absorbs the bumps better (if that makes any sense). I did a block in the back, but I wish i had done an AAL or just a whole new leaf pack altogether. It's going to be my new project.

    Did you upgrade your coils?
