Aftermarket coilovers like SAWs, Donahoes, etc. for the front and AALs, shackles or new leaf packs for the rear.

Well, i called around my town and several shops will install a Fabtech 3" suspension lift front and rear for $1200.

Anyone care to comment on the qualities of the Fabtech?

I'm not sure why you would want to pay $1200 for a 3 in lift when you can pay less than $300 for the same size lift. are you planning on doing some really heavy off-roading? what is included in the fabtech? is it new shocks all the way around? You can get a good 6in lift for about the same price.

yeah it seems to be a lot more than i wanted to pay.... i was thinking it should be about half that.

The Fabtech kit i was quoted was a 3.5" front kit and an add-a-leaf 2" kit for the rear with new Fabtech shocks.

check out toyteclifts.com. for the 2nd gen tacos you can use the factory suspension, so the lift with the drop kit etc is under $300. i'm not sure if the 1st gen can use the factory shocks or not so you may have to upgrade the shocks, but it still shouldnt cost over 1k. check em out and read the FAQ section to see if you need new shocks.

You would have to get new shocks, but the Toytec lift includes everything else. It's about $270 for the lift and another $30 for the diff. drop. Plus the cost for a re-alignment required after the lift is installed.

go to www.toyteclifts.com You can get a lift for $209 and then some random other parts like a diff drop kit that will help keep the factory angles and it all adds up to around $300 if you get everything. just look around their site and use the FAQ section. you can email them directly if you have any questions. I'm definately getting the kit, but i may or may not wait till i'm out of warranty
