I know yall have heard it before...but im new to this. There is so much good info on this site its hard to keep up with it all while hopping thread to thread.
just got a '14 TRD double cab. primary use will be daily driver with a healthy amount of trail/desert driving. i do a lot of hunting on camp pendelton and will be hauling a dirt bike in the back from time to time.
im looking at either doing a toytec/Bilstein 5100 adjustable coilover at the link below:

    https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/03-09-4runner/toytecbilstein-height-adjustable-coilovers/

    or the Fox 2.0 here:

    https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/fj-f...r-2005-2014-toyota-tacoma-fj-cruiser-4runner/

i've already made up my mind as far as UCAs. going with TC.

    the main questions:
is there much difference in performance/quality?
with either coilover, will it give the truck a level look or will i need to do something to the back? not lookin for the "bro'd" look.

im about 6 days into being a taco owner....couldnt be happier so far, any input or opinions from the resident experts would be greatly appreciated.

    you're comparing apples to oranges.

Bilsteins are popular because they're inexpensive and provide lift but the ride isn't the greatest and they can't be rebuilt.

Coilovers like Fox, King, Camburg, etc are much more expensive because more R&D went into their development and they use more expensive parts. most of the time they're adjustable, rebuildable, and revalvable, making them perfect for dialing in a perfect ride.

if you have the money, the higher end coilovers will always yield a smoother ride.

Truth is, you get what you pay for. I think you answered your own question. If you're going 3" in the front and nada but saggy leaf springs in the rear, you're in bro territory. Hate to say it, but my best advise is research research research..... All you need to know is in here.
