I would just like some feed back from people that are currently using or have used the 5100 bilstein shocks. I've been really looking at them and I'm considering puting them on my 2014 tacoma double cab. I'm intested in them for a better riding suspension than the stock suspension, and a just a couple inches of height added. Also I would like make the back a little stiffer so it can bare a little more weight in the bed by adding a leaf spring. If you have any different suggestions with the way I should go about setting up the suspension I want feel free to let me know!

I put the 5100s on my 1st gen and it makes a huge difference as far as ride ( much smoother ) and much faster rebound when taking corners or over bumps then stock shocks , no , they are not high end like fox or other high end shocks but they make a huge difference on and off road IMO .

Sweet man thanks! Do the shocks offer a little more support in the back? Like are they stiffer to handle more weight or do they ride softer than the stock shocks?

I have them on the front and the difference is incredible. It really feels great, and the 1.75" lift looks awesome as well.

They will not have any affect on handling weight your leaf springs handle it , the shocks only handle the rebound of turns and bumps , if you want to increase weight load capacity you need to get a AAL or or new leaf pack
