    So guys I have a 97 V6 SR5 4x4

So I was wondering what the max length of coilovers and shocks I can fit under is.

Here's my setup that I was thinking of running

Leaf Pack WHEELER’S 1995-1997 TACOMA 4×4 AND PRERUNNER 8 LEAF REAR LEAF SPRING SET

-Shackles WHEELER’S STOCK HEIGHT HD GREASABLE SHACKLE SET

    -Rear shocks KING smoothie

    -Coilovers (Mid-travel) KING MID-Travel COILOVER

    -UCA Ball joint Light Racing

-Extended brake lines Whatever + BPV relocate

    -BAMF shock relocation

I want this to be a Mid travel/Expo/Camping rig

Thanks for any help guy !

Running Coilovers like the Kings, or Icons with some Uni-Ball UCAs will provide the max safe travel for the front suspension.

Living in the Mid west I hear that maintenance can be a real pain so that's why I decided to use a ball joint

If you call the guy above you and tell him how you want to wheel and what you are trying to achieve he will set you in the right direction.

The Camburg BJ UCAs are much stronger if you are going to be wheeling it. They re-angle the cup so that the joint is more in it's center range of motion for lifted applications.

So as far as size of coilover and shock what size are you guys thinking I need to be concerned about the collapsed length correct?

Not really. Your factory bumpstops will stop the suspension before any of the coilovers will bottom out.

Yeah I was planning on getting new bump stops. I guess I'm just worries about the space between the lca and top mount I should probably just measure it

I have the LR UCAS and king mid travel coilovers. No issues for over 6 months and I have wheeled it pretty good. I also have a 97 but a reg cab 4 cyl.

If I remember correct the mid travel only adds 1" over stock travel. Any more and you need new axles, etc.
